Ladder is about a woman's journey toward self-actualization. The ladder represents her path which necessitates passing upward through a stormy existence. The presence of the winged figure alludes to her goal; spiritual self-actualization achieved. Oil on canvas, 18" x 24".

    In ancient Greek mythology Zeus visits his earthly lover, Leda, in the form of a swan. Sometimes life's circumstances physically separate us from our loved ones. This ranges from mild separation to the ultimate separation, death. In this painting, the swan bears a gift of a necklace for his lover. Is his visit a physical one, or is he there solely in spirit? Leda's calm countenance suggests the latter. This image speaks to maintaining our heart connections on a levels that transcend our mundane existence. Oil on canvas, 24" x 36".
